FirstGen graduates headed to 4-year college and 9-11th grade summer program acceptances.

Forty-two students are currently enrolled in FirstGen 9-12 grades, and 17 applications have been received for the incoming 9th grade class. Summer programs are pivotal in helping students explore interests, define aspirations and experience campus life. This summer twenty-nine 9-11th graders have been accepted to summer programs on university campuses throughout the United States.

FirstGen helps prepare historically underserved high school students in Healdsburg become the first generation in their families to enroll in a four-year university through comprehensive one-on-one support of the entire college application process.

By working one-on-one and in small groups with students and their families to create individualized education plans starting in 9th grade, students can match their strengths and career aspirations with corresponding four-year colleges and scholarship opportunities.
